The owner wanted to revive the white paint and renew the worn blue hull. We refreshed the white areas with selected touch-ups, then sanded, primed and repainted the blue surfaces in Awlgrip.

Separate interior restoration rebuilt damaged wood backing and renewed the upholstery. Painting took 3 months; the interior work took another 2 months.

Widespread gelcoat cracking led to deeper repairs as preparation exposed further damage. Fiberglass reinforcement was carried out across the yacht before priming, sanding and painting the selected areas. This was a partial repaint, with color matching and blending into the finish that remained.

The original metallic gray finish had widespread clearcoat peeling. The owner chose Awlcraft for easier maintenance, repairability and a quicker application process. We repaired and faired affected fiberglass, then sanded, primed and painted the topsides and hull sides. Additional refit work included windshield replacement and repairs to leaking windows.

What to expect from Fresh

Some fine cosmetic imperfections may remain within the agreed Fresh standard. Compounding and a wax or protective finish are used where appropriate for your coating. The Azimut, Pershing 64′ and Sunseeker 74′ projects shown here received a Fresh finish.

Showroom finish

Extra refinement for boat shows, displays and an exacting eye.

Further surface correction addresses fine imperfections, including agreed treatment of pinholes on suitable coatings.

What Showroom adds

On suitable coatings, fine sanding after application and further surface correction address small imperfections beyond the agreed Fresh standard. Compounding and final protection complete the finish. We confirm the areas to be corrected and coating-compatible treatment in your written scope.

You don’t need to decide yet. We’ll help you choose, then record the finish standard in your written scope for the final review.

Planning your project

Answers before you commit.

Location, timing, costs and support after the work.

Call (786) 505-4259 ↗
Where will the work happen? Is a haul-out needed?

Tell us your boat’s current marina or yard in Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach. Mobile, workshop or yard arrangements depend on the areas being painted, access, containment and the site’s requirements. We confirm the work location and whether a haul-out is needed with your individual project.

The Miami address shown here is our contact address. The painting location is agreed separately. Any relevant haul-out, yard, enclosure and access costs are identified as included or separate in your written scope.

Miami contact address

Miami, FL 33142
Painting location and access are arranged for the individual project.

When will I receive budget guidance and a written estimate?

First, we assess your boat. We review its current condition, including visible damage, peeling and cracks. Photos help start the conversation; a closer assessment may be needed to understand the repair work.

Then, we discuss the budget and define the work. Initial budget guidance follows that assessment. Once the preparation, repairs, coating and finish are defined, we provide a written estimate and scope, with any allowances or uncertainties explained.

The scope identifies the surfaces, preparation, repairs, coating, labor and materials. Relevant haul-out, yard fees, enclosure, access and hardware removal are identified as included or separate costs.

Why can repairs or color matching change the estimate?

Damage can extend below the visible surface. Its full depth may only become clear during sanding or grinding. If deeper repairs are needed, we explain the findings and review the revised scope and estimate with you before the additional work is agreed.

Older finishes can vary across the boat. Sun and weather exposure can leave different shades of the original color. Matching the surrounding finish may take more preparation and color adjustment than matching the original color code alone.

Metallic finishes need particular care. Metallic particles can lie differently as the coating is sprayed, affecting how the color looks. A larger section may need refinishing and blending to create a visually consistent transition. We assess that blend area as part of the repair scope.

How long will painting take? Can you work around my launch date?

Share your preferred launch date at the first conversation. Surface condition, repairs, finish specification, coating requirements and access all affect timing. We review your project before confirming a schedule.

Two different scopes: the Sunseeker 94′ gelcoat repair project was completed in 10 days. The blue Azimut paintwork took 3 months, followed by 2 months of separate interior restoration. These are actual project durations, not standard turnaround promises.

What care is included after painting?

During the first year, four care visits include detail cleaning, shampoo washing, inspections and hand polishing suited to the surface. One free full wax of the painted areas is also included; we confirm the compatible protection for your coating.

Care visits and warranty travel cover Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. We agree the visit arrangements and care products for your project. These maintenance visits are separate from your one-year paint warranty.

How is the finish agreed, and what if I find a defect?

Agree the standard before work. Your written scope records Fresh or Showroom, the surfaces and imperfections to be addressed, coating-compatible treatment and repair arrangements. We use that scope for the final review.

Fresh gives a renewed, glossy appearance; some fine cosmetic imperfections may remain within the agreed standard. Showroom adds further correction for close inspection, including agreed treatment of pinholes and small imperfections on suitable coatings.

Our paintwork carries a one-year warranty. We assess and repair defects in our work against the Fresh or Showroom finish agreed for your project. Routine maintenance is separate from defect repairs. Review your project-specific warranty terms and repair arrangements with us before approving the work. Warranty travel covers Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

Send your project team close-up and wider photographs of the affected area. We review the concern with you and discuss the repair needed. Call (786) 505-4259 or email [email protected].
